Question #4
Choose 2 mini lessons that you felt were the most beneficial in your learning for that particular project. Include photos of these and explain thoroughly. Do you feel you needed more instruction for success? Explain or did you feel that the instruction given was enough to ensure success? Explain.
One mini lesson I thought was beneficial in learning for that project was the perspective drawing videos. Previously I had never used linear perspective before so my "before" drawing doesn't look very realistic. However after following along with the videos I created very realistic linear perspective drawings. I feel like the amount of instruction given in the videos was perfect to create a successful drawing. The videos were very thorough and explained each step to all the drawings.

The image on the left was my "before" drawing when I didn't know how to utilize linear perspective. On the right is one of the drawings I completed while watching the video. This drawing uses a two point perspective, however it was something I could accomplish after watching the video.

Another mini lesson that I thought was beneficial in learning for that particular project was the colored pencil and pastel forms we did. In doing these forms I learned how to properly blend out the colored prisma colored pencils, which was a very important skill needed for the final color drawing. I think the amount of instruction given for these forms was the right amount for success. My final colored drawing was a successful prismacolor drawing due to the previous practice with blending the colored forms.

The two images on the right are some of the colored pencil forms I did where I learned how to blend the prisma colors together to make smooth transitions. The image on the right was my final colored drawing done in prisma colors. I was able to blend all of the different colors together in the drawing using the techniques I learned from doing the forms.
